Roundtable: “Scenarios for Science and Technology Development”
“Scenarios for Science and Technology Development” October 3 and 4, 2013. Almaty – The National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation has scheduled a roundtable to discuss innovative ways to develop three priorities of Kazakhstan's economy: new materials and technologies, natural resources and the environment, and clean energy.
The Center created development scenarios for each priority under the government program “Systems Analysis and Forecasting in Science and Technology.” The Center will offer recommendations based on the scenarios to those directing government programs in science.
Kazakhstan has announced that it wants to be one of the world's 30 most developed countries by 2030. To achieve that goal, it must create industries of the future and train specialists to run those industries.
Kazakhstan's scientific establishment has been working hard on identifying these new industries and developing scenarios for making them a reality.
Those on the roundtable will include members of the Ministry of Education and Science's Science Committee and other Kazakhstan experts.
The conference will at the Astana Hotel in Almaty, 113 Baitursynov Street at the corner of Satpayev Street.
